Lots of work, hope, pain, but, at the end, Ben, Nick and Tyspin could escape from the planet they accidentally landed.

Estrada, the senior artist become mad when he was suffering a flu. He tried to kill Mathis, the other artist at night. Mathis scaped and Estrada started hitting the pet, an alpaca that was sleeping in the garden. Then Mathis had to use his gun and Estrada returned to the infirmary 

Tyspin, the builder, lost one leg in one raid, but they could buy a bionic leg and the surgery was a complete success 

In one raid, 4 pirates tried to eliminate the colony. One of them had a wooden leg and arrived late to combat, just when the surviving of the other 3 pirates decided to flee. The wooden leg pirate couldn't flee from the angry and victorious colonists 

Lots of histories I could see in one playtrough. Rimworld is not only management, and combat. It's like watching a TV series
