Transport resources on harvest

After looking through the forums I couldn't find anyone complain about the same thing that bugs me; pawns don't put the resources such as wood and food away after harvesting it. It is extremely annoying to me to watch my little idiots running around deforesting the whole map, to not bring back at least some of the resources when they are done chopping wood, or harvesting plants. It's not a problem with small amounts of resources, but when you deforest over 2K units worth of wood, food, or metal, and your colonists don't bring any back, before you realize that none was collected most of it is about to deteriorate.
My suggestion is to make pawns bring back the resources they mine/harvest to the most suitable stockpile
its the main reason my current colony is always blacking out (wood supply is far away and i keep having to manualy send colonists to fetch wood from 150 tiles away)

It's been suggested many, many times, under names such as "opportunistic hauling".

It's not a good solution, but you can achieve this with manual priorities. Set priorities like this:

Growing: 1
Hauling: 1
all other jobs with lower priorities
(you can set mining the same way)

Then they will harvest, and once done start hauling. But you still can't stop them from coming home with empty hands.

If there were more numbers for manual priority I would, or might create a mod that changes how pawns handle harvesting, but I don't know coding so derp

It's like writing a CV / resume. You need to focus on what's important. 1-2-3-4 is enough.

They perform those tasks from left to right. Growing is left from Hauling, so if they both have the same number they will first harvest everything then haul everything.

There a simple "fix" to that, one that is also a fix to many other problems : Don't overtask your pawns.
I stopped having this problem as soon as I let my colonist run out of task or not be harvest (which surprisingly allow me to get MORE work done)

Also I would be greatly annoyed to see my colonist constantly hauling back and force when it's faster to harvest first THEN haul in stack.
