Yeah, I hadn't thought of that. Like euthanasia without the tears...
Only in RimWorld is the phrase "31 Heavily-Armed Siegers are currently bombing your base" preferable to "50 manhunting squirrels are attacking your colony"

Like the deactivation of mechanoids.

Good thought, but way too involved.

* Select target
* Select Health tab
* Select Operations tab
* Add Bill
* Select Mercy Kill
* Close list

Not the best way to go about fixing the problem.

Justas love

Maybe select your colonist and just press on the downed enemy and press kill

The real issue here is that weapons have minimum effective range, but the pawns are forced into point blank range for the kill, is it not? The first is a great addition to the game, but the second should be revised.

i havent found anything per google or in these forums so i would like to see that my non cannibals choose meals that not contain human meat if there is a choice and theyre not starving, maybe even rather starve to death than eat humans when it fits their character. I got 4 cannibals and 5 non cannibals, my fridge is full of meals containing all sorts of meat and yet my non cannibals go past the roasted chicken to eat some baked human and then have a nervous breakdown. i can deal with "we butchered humans, -10" but why do they eat them?
Hi Butterhai, it's just one of those things that isn't solved yet. But, may I ask why you chose to post this on a thread titled 'Killshots and their effects'? Surely this would be better suited to General Discussion...

Could just happen the way DF does it. Downed entities lose all chance to dodge, and in most cases the thing attacking you will aim for the head. Who walks up to a downed person and shoots them in the leg, colonists please.

I think I've been sigged more times as a result of my comments in this thread than I have in most of my other activity on these forums.

Really unsure about the mood buff..its subjective. Some would feel sorrow, some would feel pride over the kill, some a sadistic rush, others wouldn't be phased as it is the order of life.
Why to people worry about following their heart? Its lodged in your chest, you won't accidentally leave it behind.

Its bad because reasons, and if you don't know the reasons, you are horrible. You cannot ask what the reasons are or else you doubt it. But the reasons are irrefutable. Logic.

Its never bothered me personally as IRL an incapacitated animal (eg a dog with it's leg blown off) can still put up a real fight. The survival instinct and adrenaline are enough to struggle against pretty much any injury in most animals
If i ever sound like i am unsure of something, i am.
If i ever sound like i know something, i don't.
I will try to help, but whatever i advise, doing the opposite is generally a good idea.

maybe make it so that loss of limbs reduces movement and dodgin capacity reduces moving, but you literally have to remove everything to reduce moving/dodging to 0? and then pain would hamper movement and dodging, too, so while one person might be on the ground but still kicking with a leg shot off, another might be incapacitated by pain alone. if dodging is 0, at point blank range, hit chance would automatically be 100%, which would allow for "killshots" to happen. it would also add a bit more realism because honestly, you should still be able to move with a leg missing, while pain currently does nothing until people basically pass out.
