In the wiki it says hoppers can be used with mortars, but I can't build one next to a mortar. Are they for nutrient paste dispensers only?

cultist

Sounds odd. They're only for paste dispensers as far as I know. Mortars have to be reloaded by hand.

I had an old mod that allowed Hoppers to fill up mortars, but as far as I know it was never in the base game.

That's what I think. Wiki must be wrong. I wish they were for mortars, though. Having to drag them from my stockpile is a pain, and I don't want to create a stockpile nearby for them because it would have to be indoors to prevent deterioration, meaning a good bit of space is required.

In A12 I used system of 1*x corridor which contained roofed stockpile of ammo and each mortar had firing position on it so it was 100% auto.

The wiki is sometimes incorrect and often outdated.  Feel free to update it!  It can use all the love it can get.  :)

It only needs to have a roof. Things under roofs don't deteriorate, even if they are outside.

equipement racks prevent deterioration, read the description, I myself use this way ;)
And as always.. sorry for my bad english
