Animals in winter are so dangerous, give them a cave, and let them sleep in winter.

I think you're saying that winter is dangerous for animals, and you're trying to provide a suggestion that will let animals stay on the map in winter?

I think he's saying that carnivorespredators in winter become more dangerous to the colonists, because prey species become more scarce, and is suggesting a hibernation mechanic to make them less active in winter.

I haven't personally noticed this, but I'm also careful to never over-hunt my territories, and send en-masse hunting trips after predators if they get troublesome, or start hanging out too close to my base.

Edited to clarify.

But carnivores don't really hibernate in winter. Non-polar bears and badgers do hibernate, but they have a varied diet.

If animals hibernated in Rimworld, it would look a bit silly because you could walk up to any animal and hit it with a stick. Squirrels hibernating on ground.

Well like b0rsuk said, the only animals hibernating in the game would be the non polar-bears and squirrels.

The dangerous pack animals like wolves don't.

Also having a hibernating bear in a cave would be cool. You could put a load of kibble next to it and gain a friend :)

The fun thought I had was about hibernating squirrels.
What if you wake up a bunch of squirrels when cutting trees in winter and get attacked :D
