How do you make medicine?

But where do you make the Herbal medicine? I have healroot planted but none of my colonists have made herbal medicine yet. And I can't find it at the crafting tables either, or I'm missing the research for it?
I only wish the wiki was a bit more descriptive...

You need skill lvl 8 to plant healroot. Did you have a pawn with growing lvl 8?

Yeah, I have one -- or atleast I used to have one . Could be that he died in the meantime. Would that make the otehr ones unable to harvest it?

Anyone can try harvesting. The 8 is only for planting. You can also cut down the plant, which takes the "cutting plants" skill instead of the growing one.
