Hiho,

I played Rimworld now for a while and here are three ideas I would like to suggestion and would like to hear what you think about them. But first of all, let me tell you what a nice game that is. The great is really great :)

So, let's go:

1. Tools: We have weapons and we can craft weapons, why can't we craft tools? Let's be able to create an axe, a hoe and so on. Make chopping trees or planting stuff easier/quicker with the right tools. And no, a colonist shouldn't be able to carry all tools and a weapon at the same time, therefore they have to place their tools in the equipment rack and get it before they can start working efficient.

2. Restrictions: I can restrict my settlers by time of the day, but not by month? I have several farmer/miner-combos who should work on the field in spring and summer but go mining during late autumn and winter.

3. Let me see the work and character tab at the same time. Whenever I prioritize the work I have to switch between the character stats of my settlers and the work tab. I would really like to see them at the same time.

I am curious to hear what you think about it :)

When you hover over a priority button/square in the work tab you see the skill level. And the lighter the button is the better they are at it. You can also (barely) see the passion flames.

Canonically, the colonists already have tools. Take a listen when they cut down trees, or when they mine. They aren't smacking the tree or the rock face with their bare hands.

This is basically what I also figured. Never heard the sound of hands being smashed against rock.
However, a research project to improve these tools could be neat and fitting, since in the end, you can build high tech prosthetic and power armor, but improving your "multi-tool" is beyond science.

... Actually, never tried playing as a tribe.. Do they also have a multi-tool? :P

Also, I been working on a translation, and it is mentioned allot that tools can be created or is a thing like weapons:
"Speed at which this person smiths or crafts weapons, machines, ammunition, and tools"
