(A16 unstable) Pod survivors who self-undown can't be tended or fed by doctors

Rescue (rather than capture) escape pod survivor.
Will not allow feeding or healing (No popup menu with doctor selected)
Doctor on highest priority will still not tend to survivor.

Survivor gets hungry and tries to eat a live rabbit. Survivor gets his @$$ kicked.
Rescue survivor again.
This time I am able to tend to survivor as expected.
Losing is fun!

Did you have medicine? Was the survivor set to receive medicine? What happened when you selected the doctor and right-clicked the survivor?

I did have medicine.
I didn't touch his medicine settings, so whatever the default settings were.
When I right clicked the survivor with my doctor, I got a popup menu that gave me options for the medical bed (Cannot rest, not injured), but no options for the survivor. That includes no options for feeding the starving survivor which shouldn't be influenced by medicine?

I'm afraid not. I didn't make a save because I wasn't actually sure it was a bug. I was unsure because I remembered the same thing happening a few months back with a few ancient danger rescues and just assumed I wasn't aloud to treat non-colonists or captures.

I'll start rescuing people before capturing them and see if I can send you a save.

unable to reproduce it, was any of your pawns in a mental state?

was the pawn able to leave the map afterwards?

Same happened with me. The issue occured when once a survivor stayed on foot after the crash (not downed) and walked in the colony and laid down on a medical bed. The original case is not saved by me, but i recreated it with a new game with dev mode:

  • Build a medical bed
  • Execute incident RefugeePodCrash
  • Restore bodypart (the injured legs)
  • After this the refugee just walks to the bed and i can't interact with him
I'm not sure this will help, because the bug is probably not this, but the refugge is not downed after the crash, and i can't reproduce that.

Some events will force a pawn to stand, happens sometimes to my colonists when they get some effect on them. Think it was mental state and that the wounds would heal, no longer preventing the pawn from standing.

Seems like the same bug, tho I am unsure why this happens and what is making the pawns capable of walking.
Rare RNG? Maybe pawns with small leg injuries are able to heal while on the ground?
