As per topic, I stream this game and I find myself bored quite a bit without a good raid that often and is deadly. Extreme doesnt cut it anymore too easy.
I do a lot of scenario editor try to remedy it with mods but its still not enough.

Any suggestions for a rimworld masochist to feel more pain while playing ?

Well, it may very well break things, but you can use the dev console to enable x4 speed.  YMMV ;D.

Beyond that, it's pretty much up to your starting conditions and self-imposed "meta" limits (such as only melee combat).  Otherwise, any strong colony ends up eventually becomes a digital ant farm, so to speak, just like any sim game does.  That's kinda the point, in some ways ^^'.

You may find some relief in mods.  The Cthulhu-mythos one seems pretty cool.
Thanks, belgord!

Im a older player was gaming the old school games since 92 , the threshold for difficulty was much higher.
All i want is a mod that will multiply the sizes / weapons / AI of my enemys.
So far my scenario editor and mods are :
REPEAT 3 days manhunter packs /
15 days Arachnid warrior raids ( about 60 to 120 of them)
Enemy raids every 5 days
This is still not enough today I did 5 arachnid warriors raids and 5 all assoults with the dev console that was about 200-300 creatures thatt actually felt epic but broke my immersion to do it myself through it. Id rather have it in a mod that takes those numbers in one random generator for me.

Yeah i dont know it seems the mods for b18 are catering to new players (not a bad thing) but I'd like some hardcore stuff too or I feel bored/

There was an A17b combat mod that was supposed to make combat more realistic. It adds the need for field medics and changed ranged and melee combat.

Edit: Rimworld Combat Extended was the name.

I've seen playthroughs with no traps or turrets and some no pause ones as well, these can make things a bit harder. I stopped building killboxes because I think they aren't very exciting but I do build bunkers with some traps in front. There are also some other storytellers to try- https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=11160.0 is one off the top of my head, but I haven't personally used any third party ones.

Yeah, as an old-school gamer I feel you, I would love an unwinnable mode in Rimworld that is measured in years lived :)
