Mac 10.7.5/ Rimworld534 Black screen when choosing a landing site

When attempting to select a landing site.  The part of the screen which should show the terrain is blank/black.

I am able to mouse around, click and see the stats but it is sort of like playing pin the tail on the donkey. Click- ocean, click - arboreal forest rinse repeat as necessary.

This occurs with only core loaded as well as with additional mods.

Alpha 7 still no landing screen on OS 10.7.5   This is getting old guys. Screenshot attached.
