Question about temperature and walls

Does the stuff walls are made of affect the transfer of heat in/out of a room/building?  For example, a wooden walled  room would lose less heat through the walls than a stone walled room.

In the new video, I saw where there was  a cooler keeping the rooms in a mountain cool, and the hot side of the cooler vented into an 'L' shaped room in the mountain.  Does the size of the room the heat is venting into affect the amount of cooling the unit can do?  Does the thickness of the walls (1, 2, or more thick) affect the amount of heat the room can hold?

I think size does matter, at least from my experience a very large room is not heated or cooled as easily as a tiny room.  But as for the walls and thickness i don't think that matters at all.

But as for on topic. But surely having a super massive room and only one heater/cooler will still work out right? Might be something I should investigate.

Some notes:
- Size of the room does matter. A large room will require more energy to heat up or cool down.
- Walls don't matter (at all).
- Heat is radiated two ways: Passively (areas will eventually average out to outside areas, even if sealed), and directly (via doors)
(Passive heat loss is much slower than heat lost from opening doors.
- Airlocks are viable, I personally recommend one for your base entrance and freezer.
