Will RimWorld see a large growth in user base when it goes to 1.0?

Do you think a lot more people will buy once they see it is no longer early access/beta? Or, do you think that most of the type of people that would play this kind of game are already here?

I imagine it probably will see a lot more at 1.0, some people avoid early access/in development games like the plague.

Check it before and after 1.0 and see.

Playtime is impressive compared to a lot of games I searched too.

It was ranked 8th on the top sellers shortly after the big steam sale ended.

Which I think is due to a load of people sticking it in their watchlist, waiting for it to go on sale only it never did. So they all said "fuck it" and bought it all at once.

This game does not have a player base issue at all.

No one said it had an issue at all. It was simply a question as to how everyone thought the numbers would be affected once 1.0 comes out.

Once the Tornado is changed to an Artifact, more low level players will join the base, but they will all be bad players who can't stand a natural disaster. More players will be good for Tynan's pocket but bad partners for those who are already here.

Smashing words together to make stuff since 1991!

In all reality, there will likely be a surge of new players, but maybe not as many as some think. We won't really know until it comes out for sure though. Until then, I'm going to enjoy my time playing, and try to coax my wife in to trying it out :P

Que?  ???

On Topic: Absolutely, out of all my friends i'm the only one that plays early access stuff, even if i explain how cool and complete Rimworld is, and how there's this amazing host of mods around it already they simply won't buy it because of the early access tag.
