Static Flammenwerfer

Would it be possible for anyone make a mod to add a static static version of the flammenwerfer ( https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=6993.0 ) to the game?
It'd be a great help as static defense, and though it might be OP quite quickly, I think that making it unable to rotate would balance that out quite a bit, plus the great risk to do collateral damage.

All my modded weapons are compatible with my OmniTurrets including the flamethrower. I do however need to check if i uploaded the versions of my weapons with updated graphics. Not static persay as it will still rotate.

yeah, I was actually more thinking along the lines of a plasma vent. As far as I'm aware, pawns will try to path around fire, so it could actually be an effective way of trapping enemies without having to construct walls around them, and wait for either the heat, the fire or starvation to kill them.

For regular killboxes it wouldn't be effective, as they'd damage the sandbags as well.
