Fertilizer item gone?

There was an item used to fertilize the soil last time i played and i cant find it O.o
It was been removed from the core game or I'm looking at wrong place?

Nope, unless you find a cavern that has some soil in it, otherwise you'll have to wall off a place outside the mountain or use hydroponics.

If you're not against using mods you could get Death Furnace from my Misc Mods post and turn your enemies into soil.

Hydroponics got nerfed heavily, they use too many resources and aren't reliable enough really. Building a sunlamp and walls around an outdoor patch of soil is much more reliable since your crops won't die every single solar flare. It's a lot cheaper that way.

If you want to grow food inside a mountain, the only way is hydroponics now, so there's at least a trade off now.
