[Mod Request] Internal Doors

Hey all,

I apologise if this has already been requested or already exists, but a search of these forums, reddit, google, etc did not yield any results. In my current Rimworld save I am attempting to make dual purpose workshop/bedroom rooms for all of my colonists, in an effort to give them the spacious buff for having a large room, without wasting said space.

I've been leaving little 1x1 gaps where a door would go to divide up the 'rooms' in each colonists suite, but I am wondering if it would be possible to code/create a door that does not breakup rooms? Basically I want to ne able to put a door on their bedroom/loungeroom/kitchen/workshop etc, but still have that small suite of rooms be counted as 'owned' by a particular colonist, as his or her bedroom. This is more for aesthetic purposes than anything else. I really like to create 'believeable' spaces for my Pawns, rather than just putting a bed a lamp and a pot plant in a little 5x5 square.

Any pointers to a mod that does this, or some advice on how this could be coded, would be much appreciated! I'm not much of a coder myself, but if someone throws some tips at how this could be done I can probably have a go at it, or get my room mate to make a mod that works for this.

The cell doors from the prison extension mod do this function.  They are not working as intended for the prison mod but will work for your request.

Hmm. That is somewhat helpful actually. I might take a look at what code the modder for the Prison doors mod used to make that functionality and then make a mod for the regular door models that does the same thing.

The prison doors are great for the prison, but not so helpful for luxury suites. Need to make sure you give your Pawns the illusion of freedom. ;)

If i understand what you want right, you can just tick the "hold open" option on the doors you don't want to see, the pixels for open doors are so small it actually looks kinda natural, and you can use the strongest materials you have so if something bad happens and your base gets overrun you can close the doors as emergency bunkers

Yehh it a pure xml mod. You just need to copy door defs, rename it to something diffrent and add a line:
<regionBarrier>false</regionBarrier>.
All i do is clutter all around.
