I'm new to the game and have never trained animals before. But, I have raised a bunch of cobras, polar bears and rhinoceroses I'd like to take into battle with me. What precautions should I take when training them?
I was surprised to read about Angkor Thom in Cambodia. I looked up what "Thom" means and it's "big" or "great", so my avatar icon is ធំ which is "Thom" in Khmer.

Once tame? None. Training them is hazard-free. And ongoing, because they will slowly lose their training over time. So, the only danger is that you do NOT train them and they degrade back to wildness. Then you have a wild cobra or rhino in your base.

I never got how pawns in the game could have such insanely bad reactions to such mundane things.
Then I came to the forums.

Really? For some reason I thought if a training attempt failed the animal might attack. I guess I got training confused with taming. Ok, thank you.
