Possible to restrict/unlock a job with a researchdef?

That sounds like something advanced for C# Rather than something simple...

So my answer would be no...
But you can restrict/unlock doing medical operations or doing curtain tasks like hacking and cleaning or even making your colonist watch television with the proper research like requiring Bionics Research to add Bionic Parts to your colonists via medical operations.

Sorry if your post was kinda hard to understand what it's trying say...

You'll need to be more specific with what you want to lock behind research. Certain things are possible with just XML, and some require C#.

If you're fine using C#, you can check for the player's research and conditionally show context menus and gizmos; actually preventing JobGivers from assigning them should be possible too, though I have no experience with those. It isn't possible with XML because JobDef defines no way to require a research.
