[Mac 0.9722] Black screen on start

I just tried to start the Alpha 9 on my MacBook Pro (early 2013, Mac OS X Yosemite).

All I am getting is a black screen.

Somehow I also noticed that the loadup was longer than usual. But I didn't have a blackscreen.

are you trying to use an old world or colony?

I don't get a chance to. I double-click the program, I get a black screen, end of the story.

If you're on mac, try setting your resolution to default and for Windows more than 1024x768 or something. Report back if it was a problem due to resolution. :)

I am aware of the Alpha 8 issue, which didn't affect me, weirdly enough. My Alpha 8 version of RW starts without a problem.

I have no idea what you mean by standard resolution. I have a Retina screen and I am using the default scaled down resolution.

Yeah I meant the default scale, sorry that it didn't help.

removing the local game files (saves and mods) doesn't help, either

I dunno about mac, but if you hit alt+enter, you can enter windowed mode. I don't see a config option to do this, so I think it always starts in fullscreen?

Try that and see if it at least will go into windowed mode. If not, either doesn't work on mac or the game is locked up. Dunno how helpful this is.
