I'm messing around with incident.xml files to get certain events to happen less or more frequently.

With no luck accomplishing what I'm looking for I now need some help.

What does favorability mean and how does it effect events? Does it influence chance in any way?
How does chance work exactly? What is the minimum and max chance number?

Would also like an example answer for this:
Now combining both chance and favorability, what would be best to have an event happen every 2-4 days?

I'm not really sure about how it really works, I haven't look at the game code about it. I think favorability is how the storyteller tracks what events have affected the colony in the past, and what events it may trigger next, i.e. wandererjoin=verygood and animalinsanity=verybad.

I believe you can think about the chance as the base stat for the storyteller to trigger that event, higher=frequent and lower=rare.

I could be wrong but I think it's the general idea.
