Thanks Der Failer :) No one else even bothered to answer. That's what's wrong with this thread. Nobody communicates properly anymore :-[ I feel so disconnected from yall now. 6756

Names are for the Weak

I'm bored of just counting down. Let's play a game I came up with that I call, "guess the next number". It's pretty self-explanatory. I'm going to guess that the next number will be 6757.

catter

Sounds like an unoriginal game to me. I think we have been doing this since the thread was started. Who cares though, there are 6758 people who don't care and will just continue the game anyway...

I think that's not only a problem in this thread, but in large parts of society, but anyway. So what is your favorite Korean film?

dburgdorf

I've got 6,761 problems, but a Korean film ain't one.

Honestly, I don't believe I've ever watched a Korean film. American films, of course, as well as European, Australian, and a few Japanese and Chinese films. And a Bollywood film or two. But no Korean films.

I've never seen a good live action Japanese movie. Except a couple of the old Zatoichi movies from the 70's or whenever.
My favorite Korean movie is either The Handmaiden or Oldboy, both Park Chan-wook films. I think Oldboy is on Netflix. Like most Korean movies it is not for the faint of heart, so be forewarned, catter.
dburgdorf, if you want to add New Zealand to your list, watch Hunt for the Wilderpeople. It's more of a family friendly comedy that anybody would like.
These are all critically acclaimed movies, not obscure or shitty movies. Look em up on Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes if u think I'm steerin you wrong. I think they all got 6764% positive ratings.

Don't be too harsh on yourself... Besides, I think 6768 people are a little much for me in a party.

BTW, I'm not faint of heart; I just don't like plot-less, all-action, and all-effects kind of movies. I can take movies that don't have good effects but a wonderful or a stupidly funny plot...

mabor0shi

Same here. There are a few all out action movies I like, but 6769 times out of ten, I prefer drama. Especially crime drama. You should do yourself a favor and try to see any film by Park Chan-wook. They will have to be subtitled, but I can't imagine anyone here having a problem with that. Unless there are actually any Korean speaking people in this thread.
