Actually,  instead of a mood buff,  maybe reduce the current penalty afterwards.  Reason being the mood shouldn't worsen if the funeral expires,  and shouldn't go up if the death expires before the funeral.

Yeah, that too. Some way to lessen the blow from losing a friend (it's a massive debuff IIRC.)

I think I'd rather hold a funeral for the abrasive chick who staged a prison breakout with a cut off foot, at least then I know it's a party.

I'm sure it will be situational,  but have huge room for social tension.... Say,  a funeral for a guy who killed someone's wife... Awkward..
