I did an evil thing

I had a raid, which I won with no losses, and I managed to capture 2 people. One of the people was beutiful, but I needed a kidney for someone, so since her recruitment difficulty was 99, I took hers. Well I took it the second time; the first try at taking went so badly that she is now disfigured. I then had to amputate an arm that got infected (operations are hard with a skill of 7), took her kidney, and then released her back to the pirates.

I think fear should be added to discourage raiders.

I had a raid of 10 people with bows and pilas, and captured 3 of them. One of them was almost completely infected on all their body parts, so i harvested her heart.  my researcher has researching level 19 and they have an artery blockage in their heart, I'll try to give it to him

If I capture someone I don't want for whatever reason (too many mood debuffs, poor skills, old age etc etc) I peg leg both their legs and give them dentures. And if I need an organ I'll harvest that for good measure. So more than once a pirate has hobbled back to his or her base on peg legs and talking through a crappy denture which we only half-hazardly install, occasionally with a missing kidney or lung.

I'd like to see them come back

I used to do this stuff all the time. The mood debuffs got to be a bit much for me though.

I also double peg leg and denture anyone with recruitment difficulty of 98 or 99. I also install a simple prosthetic arm on each shoulder if I have one then remove it before I release them.
And I only release them if i have trained up all my good doctors.
Normally ill take off both peg legs then add a peg leg , then remove it and add it again till they die or my doc is max :)

I've actually had this happen. I'm running the Expanded Bionics mod, and it turns out removing limbs through surgery (such as giving a prisoner two peg legs when they don't need them) doesn't give mood debuffs like harvesting limbs and organs does. So, for roleplay reasons (and keep them from just eating up food after I maim them) I release them.

About a in-game year later I got hit with a huge raid, and one of the pirates I had captured and disfigured was there missing both legs and both eyes and having two crappy prosthetic arms.

I captured them a second time and took it all back, then put them in the burn pile (just put a sleeping spot there and deleted their prisoner bed)

I think being around you guys is starting to affect me.

An escape pod landed nearby.  I saw, "Tail, Artist", and I figured that she would probably be useless so I should patch her up and send her on her way.  Then I saw "Traits: Abrasive".  I called out my entire colony to shoot her to death.
If you give an annoying colonist a parka before banishing him to the ice sheet you'll only get a -3 penalty instead of -5.

And don't forget that the pirates chasing a refugee are often better recruits than the refugee is.

Tail is one of my favorite colonists (usually).  I love having a dedicated artist

I think Tail has shown up in every game I've played so far. I used to butcher release prisoners for practice, but proper medicine is hard to come by now so I've stopped making prisoners ''armless''.

I'll get my coat...

It used to be in at one point in the game, with the intent that it could be used instead of happiness to keep colonists loyal. I think that concept's out, but the idea of it being used to encourage raider mental breaks (but not ally) sounds rad.

That was a mechanic in the early alphas. You could set up gibbet cages to make them break. My colonies all look like they were sneezed out of some creepy horrormovie from hell. IED's, gibbet cages and corpses littered almost the entire map. Good times!

EDIT: Are the early alphas available for download somewhere still?
Edit 2: I found the good old alpha .250! "Fear tech 1" Here I come!

I had a useless spacer, can't remember the name, she had two minor passions in like, research and melee. Also lazy. So I put her in the prison, figured she could at least haul and give me some social training. Prison break 2 days later, she was the only prisoner and she was being taken care of. I was so annoyed I let her starve to death in the doorway where we downed her.

I accidentally did a bad thing!

A Dog, named Saber died, and I wasn't paying attention. Saber ended up as some steaks in a fine meal, and then:

Whoops. Think this sums it up:

Well in punishment I suspect this will end badly, and is quite horrifying:

Nah, they'll just wander off the map when they start getting frostbite. The only animals i've ever seen succumb to the cold are tortoises because they couldn't move fast enough.

Also, when they first brought in surgery, I spent so long chopping people up and putting wooden bits on them that I didn't notice it was draining both my sanity and my medicine. I wish I could say I only lost one colony that way, but I did not.
