(I don't know if someone else came with this idea too.)
As i'm playing the game, i'm getting mad at how my people shoot. Is it really so hard to shoot someone with an ak47 who is only a few metres away? I understand i play with civils, not soldiers. But when Lucky can't shoot someone in front of her with a shotgun, i just lose breath.
Can you increase hit chance when shooting? I feel like those tribepeople aim better than my guy with hunting rifle.

Also, i would really like the option to rightclick on a tree/grass/stone/bush with my guy and have an option to hide. So i can attack raiders with a surprise, also then maybe it would take a few seconds (how many seconds -depending on difficulty) for them to hide and find out where my guys are hiding. From what i understand, this would take more time to do, but i think it would be cool and more realistic.

have you taken a look at your colonist's skill ratings for shooting? they are what determine their accuracy, up to level 20. you can only expect good accuracy from level 11 up.

I can tell you right now that the shooting or melee skill doesn't matter most of the time  ;D >:(

really? cause it doesn't work that way for me. I've given sniper rifles to low ranks and they can't do crud. give to a level 12 they get above 50% hit rate, and my level 17 sniper hits over 75% of the time.....

It matters more about the durability and the quality of the weapon, not so much of the shooters skill.

Yes i took it goes from 8 to 12 between different people, but i dont think you need experience to pull the trigger at someone right in front of you.

I think you're right, one of my guys took a "pila"(?) with the quality excelent and the first two he threw, two people died. I think he missed on the third shoot/throw and then in the next seconds he killed about one and maybe handicapped two. :D And that's what i mean, it's the skill that should give accuracy, the quality should ONLY lower the chance to hit by 20% at worst quality, it should not lower the chance to hit with 60% because the weapon is not "good" but "normal".

Yeah, it's kinda silly with the current system, and that's what combat realism tries to fix. Also make sure that they have clear eyesight, as if they have cataracts that effects a lot.

Also nobody had problems with eyes, Lucky only has asta.
