Assigning pets to an animal bed?

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to have certain pets persistently sleep in certain beds, e.g. in their master's room.
Is this possible, I can't seem to find any related things in the .xml files, is it only possible via C# ?

p.s. this is my first attempt at modding so sorry if it is an obvious answer

If it was just an easy xml edit I'd bet it would already be in the game.

IMO you'll need to copy the code used to assign beds to coonists and change it to be used with pets instead.

This is a great idea though! It would both help pets sleep with their masters and keep random unmastered pets from occupying the wrong beds
