RayGun Mod:
� Adds RayGun to RimWorld
� Adds RayGunner Raider
� Adds Ray Generator
� Adds Ray Turret
� Adds Uranium Walls
� Adds Engineer Table(used to craft RayGun)
� Adds Refined Uranium(crafted in the stone cutters table)
� Adds 2 New Researches!
   The RayGun is available via Trading, Killing a RayGunner, and Crafting
Base: $1300 Silver

Installing RimWorld Mods:

Mac:
1. Right Click Rimworld "Show Package Contents"
2. Unzip the file into the "Mods" Folder
3. Select the "Mods" tab in the RimWorld startup menu and enable "RayGun"
4. Enjoy!

Windows:
1. Unzip the folder and place into the "Rimworld/Mods" folder
2. Select the "Mods" tab in the RimWorld startup menu and enable "RayGun"
3. Enjoy!

well crafting a gun would be interesting but a ray gun has already been done (in the form of a laser pistol?), along with alot of others guns.

I am currently working on the crafting of  the ray gun and turrets. Also thinking about adding a new biome(not sure if possible) and race.

You'll need to wait until alpha 3 to add new races and biomes, and you'll need to use DLLs to do it. No one has undertaken any major terrain manipulation in the tester thread, but maybe you should contact Darker in the future if you intend to try, he's done the most regarding terrain editing.

DLLs for this are in C#. I'm using ILSpy to decompile Tynan's code, and Visual Basic to build my own DLLs. You won't be able to make anything run in the game until alpha three though, at which point a lot more information and how to's will be moved out of the tester thread and into the mods section I think.

Don't you think it's kind of impolite to post everywhere on the forums that you can do something others can't? Just saying that it will be possible in A3 would be better.

You can design new terrain(s) at this moment. You can also make them buildable - just look how carpets and smooth stone works.
Later on, it might be possible to alter terrain generation. But I'm not even sure if this will be possible in Alpha 3 (it doesn't seem to be possible to select terrain generator in "New game").

I've thought of adding a Mod parser in my editor allowing to add more terrains temporarily. But at this particular moment, I can't be much helpful with this either.

Keep doing XML mods. You'll learn C# later. Anyway, you'll start with modifying Tynan's example mods.

(Sorry I'm on my phone now so I don't have the source with me arm)

So you are saying that it is possible to add new terrain tiles such as sand, dirt, and tiles/carpets. But it is NOT possible to add new ores such as uranium ore?

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude about my earlier comment, and I didn't mean to suggest that I was any more capable than others, or boast about anything either. Never the less, criticism noted, and I'll try to conduct myself a little better in the future if that's how it came across :P
