Toggle melee mode (for ranged)

Instead of having to right click in the target then click on "fire at", it would be easier if by default right click directly targeted it, without drop down menu. Then, to be able to melee attack replace the ranged attack button with toggle melee button.

Just another small step to fix the (many times unnecessary) deadly micro management of this game.

You may already know that, but when a colonist is drafted, you can press B (I think) to show his shooting range and then left click the desired target.
I think that's more comfortable than your method.

My method is pretty straightforward, just select and attack, no more clicks. Its also how most of games work.

But now that you say it I would like that it always showed the ranged of the gun of the pawn selected.

I guess that's just a matter of opinion.

That could look kind of messy if you selected multiple pawns, couldn't it?

Instead,  i would add an option for gun users akin to the threat response setting,  for shooting only,  melee reaction,  and melee only.... Melee only would function as a "hold fire"  command too
Why to people worry about following their heart? Its lodged in your chest, you won't accidentally leave it behind.

Its bad because reasons, and if you don't know the reasons, you are horrible. You cannot ask what the reasons are or else you doubt it. But the reasons are irrefutable. Logic.
