Well basically I admit that I have been downloading (yes pirating :-\ ) RimWorld for almost every version since 10. I had most save games on v14, I had everything working on it with mods. Then now with 15 some mod compatibility problems but nothing serious. Now on my home computer (it is Windows XP) the v16 is not working properly. I got different save files, on my laptop of windows 10 it is working properly, but XP seems trouble.

Now into the real deal:
The computer is only 6 years old, has great graphics card and everything. I got RimWorld from a well trusted site where I get most of Steam games when I can't afford them. Then starting it and adding mods, seeing the planet map, it was full pink. Icons of tribes/clans/enemies ARE shown, but the map is pink. Ok what the heck I gave it a little loading time but nothing. Then I decided to continue and in game now, same thing, map and items pink, also Pawns skin and clothes ofc. Haircuts were shown though. I tried a little later again without mods but same thing. Any idea how to get it working on XP, or if it doesn't then does it also stand in Steam now (haven't checked Steam page for some time).

PS I can get a screenshot if you think it is a difficult case and needs investigation
PPS Please don't accuse me of being a pirater or a fraud, I have 4 games on my Steam account and really wanna buy RimWorld when the v17 comes out.

You say "PPS Please don't accuse me of being a pirater", but you admit to this yourself with these two comments. "Well basically I admit that I have been downloading (yes pirating :-\ ) RimWorld for almost every version since 10" and "and really wanna buy RimWorld when the v17 comes out". Accusations are not necessary when someone already admits their guilt.

I'm sorry, but for obvious reasons, we do not offer technical assistance for those who use an illegal / pirated copy of the game. Technical assistance is offered to, and for the benefit of, Ludeon customers, and not to those who are playing the game via other means (ie. pirating it).

Oh I don't need a moderator, just helpful community member. Also when it came to Steam, you have to hint it to as Steam customers not Ludeons. Cheers.

I doubt you will get assistance from a helpful community member here either. I think you are either forgetting or overlooking that this is the official Ludeon Studios forum, meaning the members of this community are going to be less willing to help someone who admits to pirating the game. Not least because such action might be frowned upon by the moderating team (and probably by Tynan as well if he sees it / find outs).

And people who buy the game from Steam are still Ludeon customers, as Ludeon Studios is the developer and publisher of the game. Steam is an official reseller (the only one), but you are still buying a product of Ludeon Studios when you buy from Steam, so you are still a Ludeon customer.

An insider in Steam forum post about the games activity in early game release in Steam claimed that there are over 200 thousand players. I doubt they all bought it. Also not the nicest of things to project Your ideologies inside simple players :)

The game was top seller on steam for a few weeks when it had its "steam release" its very likely that it sold a lot of copies, 200,000 wouldnt be surprising to me. None of that however is relevant here, you have freely admitted to not owning the game, therefore you will not be getting support on the official forums. If you have an issue with this you can PM a moderator. Ill be locking this now to stop the temptation for others to continue talking on this subject.
Skullywag modded to death.
I'd never met an iterator I liked....until Zhentar saved me.
Why Unity5, WHY do you forsake me?

FYI - IIRC direct sales were 75k+ copies back in the summer of 2015, which was a year before the Steam release. So 200k+ almost a year after the Steam release is more than plausible. Actually, I'd be quite shocked if the sales figure was less than 200k given the pretty much universal praise the game has received.

Edit - I got curious so I went looking for some figures. I have no idea how accurate steamspy's data is, but according to their numbers there are currently 650,905 ± 22,686 owners of the game on Steam (and that's not including DRM-free owners like myself who haven't activated their copy on Steam). So even if that figure is so inaccurate that it needs to be halved, it's still way over 200k players. https://steamspy.com/search.php?s=rimworld
