Hey guys and gals.  First time poster.

Just encountered this tonight: Trauma Savant.

Played quite a few games, but this is the first time I've encountered this.  Happened after a nasty Centipede drop (friendly fire).

Should I be worried about this colonist?  He has some good stats, but isn't my best one.  He's decked out with almost every bionic (EPOE).  Other than his usual job(s), he doesn't interact with other NPCs.

Almost 20 years into this Colony.  I can "win" by launching everyone on the constructed ship, but I'm working a "personal scenario" in which I get all my colonists upgraded bionically, launch them in the ship, then start them in a fresh colony afterwards.

In regards to this particular situation, would an AI chip change things any?[/img]

The only downside to trauma savantism is that your colonist will be effectively incapable of social until they die. However, +50% manipulation means that they're going to be extremely good at all work tasks, as well as a decent marksman.

Trauma savantism has a 12% chance of occurring in RimWorld, so you're lucky that your pawn is a permanently deaf mute as opposed to a complete vegetable.

Thanks!

I have some 10+ games under my belt with varying degrees of success, but in this game it's the first I've encountered it.  And then tonight, a second colonist got the Savant injury (same state as the first one, and again by Centipedes grrrr).  This one was a little more important, but isn't the end of the world yet.
