[A17 Unstable] Frozen pawns

All of my pawns have become "frozen."  They have jobs assigned, I can change the job which gets them to move about 50% of the time.  Militarizing them does nothing. 
New patch about 30 min ago.  New game since patch

Reloading a save got them moving again for about 30 seconds.

Thanks for the report, could I push you a little bit further and have you attach the save and log files here as well. They are extremely helpful with finding the cause of why your workers are slacking off like this!

Came here to report the same issue. I can play a new colony for about 30 minutes before someone gets...stuck. If I draft and order to move I get a 'cannot go here no path' even when they are standing in the middle of an open field.

"Exception ticking Kyle: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

This is my second game killed by this bug today.

I too came here to report this. Game lags down and everything is very slow along with all the pawns frozen in place. Happens about 3 minutes into the game for me. my FPS goes from 60 down to single digits. (Core i7, 16GB ram with a nVidia 960M w/ 4GB ram).

I've had this happen as well. It seems random, so I have no repro steps. In my case I have been alt-tabbing back and forth, and I didn't make a new game after this morning's update.

I have a save where this is reproducible, if I let a colonist finish building a steel wall, she freezes up in the manner described in this thread, spitting a bunch of errors at me afterwards, then her pathfinding goes haywire and there's no way to move her.

I get the same issue, it happened with the new update today.  When I try to make my pawns do anything I click the object and it says no path.  You have plenty of save files so Ill let you look at those.  P.S.  I'm just trying to get my first building completed and it keeps happening, and they're all stuck at the walls trying to build them.

Alright, I've seen this about six times now (new since the update, but I didn't restart each time; I just loaded the last autosave). I hope this helps, if you still need it!

  • In one case, my (only) pawn was attempting to deconstruct a wall.
  • Three cases, my (only) pawn was building a wall.
  • In two cases, one of my pawns was building a door. (Once solo, the other time with multiples.)
