B18 Heatwaves

Are these just OP in 18? 

I've seen some really brutal ones, 146 F.  But even the one now jumped to just 86F and my coolers set to 0F are only cooling to 46-50F.  That doesn't seem right.

The greater the temperature gradient, the harder coolers have to work.

Heat wave raises the temperature by 17 degrees at their peak. Anything else is daily/seasonal variation.
