Oh also, with the new map generator, the only 3 kinds of maps i get is a canyon style map with little free space and huge amounts of rock on two sides, a map with a river and close to no rocks for mining and a winter map that, honestly, hurts my eyes to look at.

So whenever I start a new game I have to start over and over again until I get a river map with enough rocks to sustain a base. Don't get me wrong, I love your mod (collection) and I can't thank you more for all the work you do but at the moment the map generator feature is pretty annoying :(

You should be getting several more type of maps, including the original map gen, the files are all in place, and it is working for me, So i'm not really sure why it wouldn't be working for you. Is anyone else having this problem ? also, to remove the non default mapgens, for those that feel they must, you can go into Mods\AIOMod\Defs\MapGeneratorDefs and delete everything except the AIOMapgen file, Then it should only generate the default map. However if this breaks something, dont blame me :P

Hey,

I have the same problem  :( , I tried many times yesterday night by I had only these 3 types of maps... and he took a while each time with the configuration of my settlers...

Any solutions?

All I can suggest is to try a clean install, delete the game, reinstall it, re download the latest version of the mod, reinstall that. I tested my latest compilation of the mod, on a fresh install of the game, on my work laptop, with the mod download i provide to you guys, and everything is working fine, no strawberry beds, all the mapgen types work, I got the default mapgen on the fourth try, has a fertile plains with river before that, fertile plains, and a snow mapgen. started a few more games just to be sure, got the default mapgen again a couple of times. Ultimately though if you dont like the new map types, just follow my advice above about removing the mapgen files for them. just make sure to leave AIOMapgen in place, this overrides the default mapgen with the changes needed for the mod compilation. Without it much of the mod pack wont function correctly.

survived and managed to somewhat put out fires before i just my main structure.

but! i noticed a weird quirk in the meteors.

i clicked them to be mined and my pawns set to mining stopped dead in their tracks as if trying to do a task then stopping.

i stopped them all and focused on one guy moving him right up to a meteor - no dice.

i tried alternate kinds of meteors and no dice (untill)

i suddenly mined a meteor - and it was a "damaged" meteor i retried this with other damaged meteors - and yes - only able to mine meteors that are damaged - any others will cause the miners to get stuck.

COuld you do me a favor and send me your save game ?

tried reloading to check it and it had cleared - it happened again later with another meteror crash "normal one" and couldent mine - saving/reloading fixed it.

and you say damaged ones worked right away ? could you do a little test for me next time that happens ? If you cant mine one, recruit a colonist and shoot it once, then try to mine it, let me know if it works ? if so ill strap a little explosion into the script to do a little damage after the item spawns, as opposed to the explosion that happens before it spawns. It would be a dirty fix, but i really have no idea why it is broken in the first place, so its probably the best i can come up with.

- sorry don't know how quoting works :( , anyways, no I can't live without most of the functions, they are too awesome, sorry ;) I'll try to reinstall everything and let you know if it worked

I am also getting the glitch with the colonist getting stuck on the meteorites. It might be connected to the meteorites lading in home zones but I'm not sure. Maybe the reinstall will fix that one, too. It's just a few meteorites anyways, most of them are working fine and I you can just not mine the broken ones, sucks when they land right in your base tho. Also I didn't get the super rare event so it's not just meteorites from that event!

Hello, and thanks for a great collection (for the bit of time i got to play it)... But i seem to have a problem loading it, however im not sure if its a mod problem or a general game problem...

Whenever i start the game it takes a long time to load (without any mods turned installed). But as soon as i get the game started, go to mods and turn on the collection and hit close the game locks up and stays that way until i shut it down (left it for a long time to make sure its not just a slow loading problem) and im unable to start the game up again until i delete the mod collection file and im back to square one.

I have tried with a completely fresh install, removed everything including the config files.

I tried to start the game with disabled firewall and anti virus, but that didnt work either and now im running low on ideas.

So any tips much appreciated!

sorry :( i don't have any experience with that problem, sounds related to your game install not the mod. but i haven't come across that one yet so i don't know

If you're running Windows, you can check the output_log.txt file for any errors that were being thrown in the background to lock the game up. It's located at C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\RimWorld\RimWorld496Win_Data\output_log.txt.

V 1.4 : Added two new mods Apparello and Machine Gun Nests, Updated Colonist Creation mod to latest version Which adds the ability to use default colonist generation by picking "no" when it asks you if you want to use colonist creation mod. I requested this change for those of you who didn't wish to use the mod.
