I just came across an article about this animal.
Do you think this beast was an inspiration behind the Muffalo?
Maybe it's a Mouflon-Buffalo hybrid? (conceptually, not genetically)

English: Mouflon
German: Mufflon

Muffalo always struck me as more of a yak/bison hybrid.

Yeah, appearence wise it looks much more like a horn-less yak than a Mufflon. I just found that the name was similar.

I like how this game can result in quotes that would be quite unnerving when said in public, out of context. - Myself

The dubious quotes list is now public. See it here

What strikes me now is that all RimWorld muffalos are WHITE. IIRC white buffalos do exist but they're extremely rare. Does this mean... Will we... will we see a rare brown muffalo at some point?

milon

I assumed it was a muskox/buffalo hybrid.  Especially since Ty is from Ottawa.  ;)

Bog

Maybe they're just albino buffaloes...

I've seen mouflons! They live in cypress and are pretty much exist so unfortunately my sighting was in a zoo.

This was my first though when I saw muffalo. but Mouflons are pretty much unknown.
