How did you hear about RimWorld?

When/where/how did you come to hear about RimWorld for the first time?

For me, I heard about RimWorld from Scott Manley, who occasionally plays obscure sci-fi indie games.

If you don't know that community, then let's just say it's a community composed of "serious" players ready to pick up any challenge in roguelike games, or any other game that got the gameplay and not necessarely the graphics.

I saw it on IndieDB, like pretty much any other game I'm interested in these days.

I honestly have no idea, One day I was looking for Indie games then the next I was on the forums taking part and blowing up nobles with Blasting charges back in 265? 245b or something?  Good ol' days when things were simple, not that I'm complaining of course, so many things have happened since then.

I was searching for Dwarf Fortress-like games and found a thread on the steam forums where they were discussing alternatives. Rimworld was highly recommended by several posters so I looked into it.

Now it's the only game I play lol

I was subscribed to this guy on Youtube named Etalyx. He does other games. One day he started a new series of Rimworld. From that moment on I loved the game and bought shortly after.

Mathas. I liked his Project Zomboid videos and then noticed him recording Rimworld and got intrested.

I don't really remember how I happened upon Rimworld, probably found it through Kickstarter.

I think I saw it as a Letsplay at first with either Jefmajor or some obscure lets player, and then I continue to watch Falcon and occasionally Eckyman for their series.

I've heard it in one of the youtuber Zemalf videos and it was love at first 'sight'. Then I watched some of Blitzkriegler LP and that was the final blow.
