Did the slave trader stop showing up for anyone else? I've had nothing but combat, industrial and food ships pass by but it has been a while I'm on year 3 there has been no slave ships since year one?

Snownova

Which storyteller are you using? Generally only Randy gives you regular slave traders, because the other two are limiting your population.

Quasarrgames

I think trade ships are mostly random, both in occurance and type of items for sale.
On the right path, but the wrong medication.

I like how there's a thing that displays how long you've logged in to the forums. It shows just how many hours you've spent here, never to get back...

I'm the same way, I haven't had a slave trader in 120+ days. It probably has to do with my population being high. I don't mind not being able to buy new members, but being able to sell prisoners would be nice.

I haven't had a combat ship for awhile either; they've been almost nonexistent since I've developed a stockpile of high-tier weapons. I'd like to sell my surplus weapons too. :(

Pretty much have only seen industrial traders lately.

I’m playing on Cassandra - Rough and I get regular trade ships of all kinds. I haven’t reached very populous colonies, though (about 10 people at the most).

Damien Hart

Slave traders are treated as a separate event to regular traders, and only have about a third of the chance of appearing. Regular traders are randomised when the trader event occurs, so there's an even chance of each type.

Cassandra has a soft limit of about 12 colonists,; after that she makes it harder to get new colonists - no slave traders, harder recruitment etc.

It's strange that you're surrounded by half a dozen civilizations, yet not a single one of them has any ability to trade.  ::)

That would be a great suggestion for a future update, actually. I wonder if it is on the roadmap (i.e., in Tynan's head ;) ).

That doesn't sound like a very fair deal; lead isn't cheap in The Rim you know!  :P

I rarely get trading ships mostly I get food traders :/ luckly I got mods :D I have a chance to call a trading ship either food/Industrial/combat/slave/black market. I'm gonna need a lot of black market traders :P

JuiceBox

Bodog,

What mod is that?!

Bodog999

Its the mod called Glittertech I just have the armor and generator downloaded but you can also download the weapons. Personally I dont like them too much but they are pretty good. Also edited the Black Market Traders price for the electro magnetic coil 1200 silver for 1 and you need 8 of em to build the generator. The generator generates about 6400 w default I changed it to 12000 w and the cost to 300 silver :D

Zeta Omega

Anyone know a mod that increases the chance or gives all ships the ability to sell slaves?
(Crew if you want it to sound friendly for the others)

SubZeroBricks

I just use the dev tools to force a slaver to come after 6 months of no slavers. I also just starve prisoners.
