Introduction to the Concept
Hello, Rimworld community! I have an idea for a mod (or an idea for a potential Rimworld 2) that could significantly enhance the depth and complexity of our gameplay. This concept focuses on advanced AI and dynamic world-building to create more engaging and unpredictable game environments. I'm sharing this idea here to inspire and hopefully see it come to life through community collaboration.

Core Concept Features

  • Dynamic World-Building: Imagine a mod that pushes Rimworld's procedural generation to its limits, creating ecosystems and environments that are not only diverse but also evolve based on player interactions.
  • Unpredictable Gameplay: What if our storytellers could learn from our actions and dynamically alter the course of events based on strategic decisions made by players? This could introduce a layer of gameplay depth that responds in real time to our strategies. But what if we could take AI in Rimworld even further? Envision city-states conducting their own research, making strategic decisions, forming alliances, and uncovering secrets, all based on complex interactions between pawn traits and backstories. While this level of AI sophistication might be difficult to achieve on a local machine, offloading processing tasks to the cloud could open up new possibilities for advanced AI behavior and emergent gameplay.
  • Deep Simulation of Characters (Pawns): Enhancing pawns to have more detailed traits, memories, and interactions that influence their behavior in complex ways, adding richness to their personal and social dynamics.
  • Cloud-Based Processing Architecture: To support these advanced features without compromising performance, the mod could utilize cloud-based processing for intensive computations, keeping the game smooth and responsive.
