Need help! (Tainted apparel color)

It's been great fun salvaging tainted apparels with my full-bloodlust colonies. The fun was greatly reduced with the 1.5 update and everything looks gray Tried but couldn't find where the function is located. Asked smart people for help and they said the coloring function is hardcoded and top priority, so it's basically impossible to change.

I really don't want to get rid of "tainted" function just for the visual improvement, but I also don't want to give up just yet. Is there any possibility/workaround to make a mod that only changes the tainted apparel colors back to default?
