I just thought that with the apparent availabilty of bionics, it would be realistic (and more interesting) if some characters started with bionic body parts.

I think it would be more awesome if they didn't spawn with bionic parts, but peg legs or prosthetics. Imagine running into a pirate with a peg leg .

They already do that.
What I think would be great is a full cyborg conversion of an individual; that would require a "full cyborg body" to be bought, and the possibility of a brain transplant.
