if thats true that randy take in account of nothing then i can only see it getting worse for me as every time i play the raiders get better equipped and there are more of them :l

i understand that i just felt that i was always being out numbered so i built turrets in response; and know i understand that was a big mistake. tomorrow i will have to try again without turrets and see how far i can get. me and my mates have been playing it all weekend and it been a great laugh.

thanks for the help; didn't realise that turrets increased the raider count that much. atleast not building turrets helps me with metal as i was building more turrets because of what happened last time :l

General Discussion / Early Raider Attacks
November 18, 2013, 05:55:39 PM
Every time i try to make a base on randy random, trying to get a large population, i get attacked within the first 3 days when i have hardly anything but a few turrets and a pistol. The annouying thing is that i haven't been able to learn from my mistakes because the raider parties keep getting bigger; the last game i started got attacked by 7 raiders on day 3.
So i guess my question is; is it possible to survive this and if so how?

Ideas / Changing the population limit
November 18, 2013, 03:10:56 PM
Apparantly there is a quite low population limit at the moment and this would explain why i can't get more than 17 colonists; therefore i would like the population limit to be increased or limitless to some degree. My world feels completely empty as i only have control of the corner of my map and expanding is meaningless as i can't get more colonists to use it.
Increasing the population limit would be a really easy thing to do in my opinion and would allow the player to have a massive base which feels alive and used; obviously if the population is increased then so would the raider count but to be honest bigger battles would be cool to control and watch.
My second idea is having a some what limitless population, which would be great, but i understand that this might cause stability issues in such an early version of the game. That's why i suggest that it is controlled by bed count, food count, or just by time (to name a few examples).

hopefully you find the cause, but me and my mates have been playing since and we have not encountered any more bugs; only issue is we dont seem to be able to get more than 17 colonists but apparantly there is a cap.
