Updated the XML's, and created a JobDriver to replace the old job code, since QueueJob doesn't exist anymore (and added TrimEndNewlines() to the end of the inspect string, to fix the blank line error).  Didn't upload it, just been messing around learning C# and RimWorld modding.

thats cool. have u looked at additional lighting too? i hope skullywag does allow you to update it, since he seems very busy with other things.

These happen only when i try to save the third character i create. I go into prepare carefully, create one character, save it, create a second character, save it, create a third character, try to save but the console pops up with the above errors. If i restart the game, it works for 2 characters and then the third bugs out again.


Then im getting this error when trying to start a new game:

These dont happen everytime but if I spend some time creating custom pawns, these errors start happening. If i start the game straight away without customizing much, it works.

i have similar issues with it. i cant start a game when i saved a preset it seems.

luckily there is workaround. i need to recreate a new world and load my preset i saved earlier to get the game to start again. im using 180 mods though, i would be surprised if everything would work perfectly.

try out the workaround and lmk if it works for you.

EDIT:

you need to get to the main menu and start from there, otherwise it keeps throwing errors.

looks like ce and rimfire are not fully compatible yet? getting a lot of errors regarding weapons added by rimfire.

i cant get the game to start with the latest release. i keep getting corrupted error and my modlist keeps resetting on every start, every time i enable ce. gonna try a clean install now and redownload hugslib, ce and ce guns again and try again.

the 1.5 version was booting up but was throwing a bunch of errors with rimfire so i downloaded 1.5a.

hey, i recently got back to rimworld again and picked up like 150 mods over the past 7 days. its rly not so easy to find some of those mods. they are hidden in the darkest corners of this forum :D

ive spent rly a lot of time, as for now, i think i spent more time searching for mods than playing the game :D i cant stop it, pls send help :/

i wanted to post this is the bugs forum but the rules state there i should be posting it here since im only playing this game with mods.

i did post in that thread over there, but figured that nobody would see it there since its super old already and the "bug" is still around. i leave the text here what i wrote over there.

it seems to be related to animals on my end. whenever a pawn wants to interact with an animal (e.g. hunting, taming, etc.) but doesnt have the resources to do so, my game starts rubber banding at 2x speed. this also does happen when my pawns are not allowed to leave my base, e.g. via forbidding doors.
but here comes another issue. i walled off some wild animals in my base and it seems that this is also causing the rubber banding as the other conditions. so im guessing this is related to how pathing in this game works in combination with the game trying to give your pawns jobs and constantly checking if you the pawn is finally able to do the job. this might also apply to the pathing of wild animals. the game is constantly checking if the animal is able to path to a certain area on the map it was trying to assign it to.
should maybe mention that i have no clue how to code and talking mostly out of my ass :D
i was trying to find a fix for this issue but havent found one. so maybe this already has been adressed by other but i wasnt able to find it. if so, pls lead me to that direction, since i cant play this game properly with this "bug" or whatever it is.

finally, my never ending modlist as reference, though i dont think this is going to be any useful, since according to my research, this does happen with no mods too.

I tryed to asked serveral modder to support modsync, but serveral refuseed it other said they got a better idea in progress.

the modding community seems to be working well together, when someone brings them together. i believe ccl did that very well, so does hugslib now. we just rly need someone to adapt this mod and set some guidelines with it. i was also dreaming of a feature which determines incompatibilities in advance and suggest patches to go with it.

oh well, like i said before, maybe one day.

id be interested in knowing the ppl who told you that they have their own ideas around this topic.

its a real shame yea. but i guess steam workshop is more convenient for most of the users. i highly dislike the workshop and wanted this to be successful. this is also one of the features that should be merged with hugslib imo. maybe another day.

Well, they should be hauling back their kill every time, so that shouldn't be that big of a deal.

From what I have seen they do not.  The load outs appear to take priority over returning from the hunt with the kill.  At times I have had to babysit the pays to make sure they are doing what is needed.  Other wise they return and one other pawn goes running off to get the corpse...or it sit rotting.

yea, this is what is happening. also i dont understand why they need to drop their weapon when auto switching from ranged to melee?

is it intended that after every time one of my pawns hunt an animal and kill it, they go back to refill their ammo cause i set his loadout to always carry 50 of em. this is quite annoying, especially when they travel across the map to do so. maybe i am doing something wrong or some has a workaround my problem.
