General Discussion / Re: Tutorial Changes

I remember when I started playing there was no tutorial. I couldn't figure out how to butcher the monkeys I killed and it led to the downfall of my colony. D:

So, now that you can move your colony, do stuff like toxic fallout and volcanic winter cover the whole world? Does anyone how big of an area map effects cover?

General Discussion / Re: Steel burns on Rimworld?
July 31, 2016, 01:00:42 PM
It seems that under most outdoor conditions in rimworld, steel igniting temperatures cannot be reached. (No citation, feel free to disprove me if possible) But, indoors, it is not difficult to reach temperatures up to 2000 celsius. (alpha 13 alpha 14 data is null)  For scale this is twenty times the boiling point of water, and I dare say that is enough to combust any reasonable combustible material. (Also, this seems to be the temperature cap, suggesting it could ve higher yet but not showing) So, maybe steel cannot burn outdoors, but inside under less than perfect conditions, it seems quite possible.

Um, steel rusting is just the iron in steel reacting with oxygen in the air to make iron oxide (rust), so there is no reason steel would not rust inside.

Unless you mean to say there is no oxygen inside...

Did you ever did chemistry? Steel DOES burn.

Did you ever do grammar?
