Im having an issue with JecTools.
It wont allow me to generate a world.
i have the lastest Version of the games and the mod. (Im not playing on steam)
and in the correct order.
im 99% sure it is from JecTools.
i have all mods off and i can generate a world and play, however once i turn on JecTools, the world Gen fails. It process for about 30 secs then falls back to the initial world gen page. no error message.
any ideas/tips to fix.
thanks

I have been avoiding this issue by not actually having the alpaca's and or my puppys been trained in obedience or release.

I train the boars or the boomalopes or the cobras as my meat shields/bullet magnets.

as far as i can see the alpaca's function fine without additional training, they still consume large amounts of food, produce exceptional wool and breed.

On this version i have only ever had wargs  & boars, going back a couple of version i had a squirrels.
I wonder does it also have to do with your area of landing and the animals that can spawn inside that zone/biome.
Cause the 2 locations i have been playing lately dont get the other animals.

General Discussion / Re: Hot weather challenge seeds?

I'm looking for a map seed with areas that have really, really hot weather. Some maps I've been playing on have been throwing heat waves of more than 125 degrees Fahrenheit/52 degrees Celsius at me, but it really hasn't bothered my colonists much; by the time a heat wave hits, I've had power and climate control in place, and it hasn't been a big deal, and it isn't even a problem aside from colonist mood without climate control outside a heat wave. So has anyone found any seeds with some really punishing hot zones? Seeds where the threat of heatstroke is actually a threat, even when a heat wave isn't in play?

I find that at any stage of the game the real issue with high temps is food, and keeping it from going bad. I prefer to play the hotter zones as well, and heat stroke can be a slight issue, but even with 2 Air Cons going at stupid cold temps (i set them to run at -125) the food still goes bad
how do you get around that issue.

i have not found any seeds that are better then the poster above either.

It really just seems like it's easier to find punishing cold maps than punishing hot maps. It takes a heat wave on the hottest maps to even have the threat of heat stroke, but the really cold maps will threaten frostbite and worse even without a cold snap. Or maybe I'm just not finding the right seeds. Has anyone found a seed with a really punishing hot zone?

Apart from having a well crafted bed & pot plant. I dont have anything else in a peons room (all are 7*7 internals). with crafted stones walls and crafted stone floors. I have even taken to placing no lights in the room. I still get the cramped issue.
It might be as someone above posted with the bed been next to the wall.

Either way this is a tad annoying, especially if i have a greedy who then needs 2 statues to still not find the room impressive. :(
