Description


This mod adds several items, starring a new, growable crop, the Banana Tree! (Side effects include bananas.)

Raw bananas are edible, and we're working on expanding this mod to create a whole Bananaverse™ of mods! (This isn't actually trademarked, please don't sue me.)








New Addition: Bananades!
You've heard somewhere that you could make these bananas into something a bit more... lethal.
Combining 500 bananas and 1 frag grenade weapon at a machining table creates the Bananade™! (This isn't trademarked either, please DO NOT sue me.)

New Addition: Research!
You can now choose to spend your free time with Beth (for some reason) to attempt to understand her madness. (ResearchPal highly recommended to avoid overlaps!)

Banana Oatmeal
If you'd like a cool, new growable and harvestable crop, download the Oats! (Warning: this hasn't been updated for B19 yet.) mod that I made. While you're at it, why not download the add-on mod for both the Bananas! and the Oats! mod that lets you make Banana Oatmeal?

How to install!
- Unzip the contents and place them in your RimWorld/Mods folder.

We now have a German translation, thanks to Lauri7x3 on steam!

Anyway, if it was recently added, could you guys please make an update to this thread so that we can see new things were added? Because the post won't bump from an edit, and I for one will never go back and check a thread unless I see the "NEW" icon posted onto it. Also, if you could do this, I would be very grateful, but mind you I am not trying to tell you how to host your content! Finally, if you do go through with the "update" post, will you ever include changelogs in either the OP, or the actual update post itself? It makes it sooo much better for us end users!

So, here's a changelog of what's happened since the last update notification!

Changelog!

- Added BananArmor (secret update)
- Added the Banana Peel Trap
- Added Banana Peels (A byproduct of making banana meals and Bananades™)
- Changed Banana Peel Trap sprite
- Changed Bananade Sprite
- Adjusted values.
- Fixed a lighting issue that occured when you had a large amount of Banana Trees.
- Fixed an issue with the new banana peel trap sprite wherein it would shrink in size if you zoomed out.
- Added the ability to convert banana peels into chemfuel (No more mass amounts of banana peelage!)
- Added the Banana Phone
- Added Banana Fiber! (Made with Banana Peels at a machining table)
- Added Framework for some secret banana peel stuff.

Yo! You're always so enthusiastic, I love it! I'm real glad that you enjoy the oats mod, I'm really excited to see what types of oatmeal you suggest I should add!

To answer your question, as long as Bananas! and Oats! are loaded before the addon mod, there should be no problems!

The Oats mod adds a new, growable and harvestable crop, the oats plant!

This mod includes
- Oats Plants (Growable and Harvestable)
- Oats (Harvested from Oats Plants)
- Oatmeal (Created from Oats at a Stove)
- Berry Oatmeal (Created from Oatmeal and Berries at a Stove)

Oats
The Oats plant has a fairly long grow time, but the yield is massive, and oats take a while to rot. Oats are also good animal feed!

Oatmeals
To create the base oatmeal, you'll need oatmeal.
From there, you can create one different type of oatmeal, Berry Oatmeal!
Berry Oatmeal is made with berries and Oatmeal.

Banana Oatmeal
If you'd like an extra type of oatmeal, as well as another growable and harvestable crop, check out the Bananas! mod that I made in collaboration with Chrscool8!
Along with that mod, you'll also need the Banana Oatmeal Addon mod.

The Banana Oatmeal mod is a simple addon that can only work with both the Bananas! and Oats! mods installed.

EDIT: So what are some numbers on the bananas, how many per harvest, how long do they take to grow, ideal temperature, nutrition raw, how many for a banana meal, buff from meal and/or what's special about it, how long before rotting, etc.?

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm! I really appreciate it.
Banana trees currently yield 15 bananas per harvest.
They take 2.5 days to grow to maturity.
The ideal temperature should be anywhere temperate (though we're currently working on this!).
Banana meals take 2 bananas.
There is currently no buff for eating a banana meal (other than being really happy), but the nutrition value of a banana meal is 1.0.
Bananas take 3.5 days before rotting.
Banana Meals take 4 days before rotting.
