I was playing the other day and noticed how fire starts from a centre and spreads outwards.

If we had wind direction then this might create a more realistic spread of fires with them being blown in one direction.

I would say we already have a flanking bonus although it is not coded into the game in this sense. If you flank your enemy they don't get the cover of the wall in front of them.

I love this idea. I think we would need from proof doors to stop them terrifying colonists though.

Maybe they would need periodic maintenance to limit the number a colony could effectively keep.

I don't think they should be merged. I think there should be a door made of logs for the early game to allow buildings before the first sawmill.

Progression from logs to planks is quite easy at the moment. Perhaps the only efficient way to create planks should be with the electric sawmill.

I got the impression mechanoids would be impossibly advanced people who had altered their bodies with technology to reach an almost magical status compared to our own colonists.

I start using stone blocks for wallls early on then switch to metal. They stop building stone blocks after a while. I assume this is because after a while all the close by stone has been used up and they do not haul the stone which is far away.
