It happpened once to me and save scum really helps to find the source of the incidents.
It was a combination between the bad mood of the surgeon and the quality of the medical bed.

Colony Name: Anarchist Den (AKA, The Jacket Traders. Althought it is an unnoficial name)
Pawn #1 Jim Carlson: http://imgur.com/3hJ18kI
Character Menu: http://imgur.com/iNho9Xn
Gear Menu: http://imgur.com/kAFSpbu
Health Overview: http://imgur.com/lG4yDYb
Additional details: Jim is ugly. Incredibly ugly. He knows that and knows that everyone knows that. He's often social fighting with someone who laughs at him for being ugly. But he never ended in the cold dungeon for punching comrades just because he is a hardworker hero. He cooks awesome meals, he craft weapons, he treats the wounded (even the same ones who he sends to the hospital with a single punch) and he fights with bravery. A bravery that costed his right arm in a battle.
He is a hero... an ugly kind of hero.
Pawn #2 Lumine 'Lumi' LeBlanc: http://imgur.com/iDg5qGz
Character Menu: http://imgur.com/8ZpEiK4
Gear Menu: http://imgur.com/9zOAyeI
Health Overview: http://imgur.com/mcDh5JI
Additional details:She's an awesome shooter. She can shoot to a fly over a bear's head without making a massacre. But that grace ended one day when a evil pack of manhunter squirrels scratched her eyes.
Without doubt, she agreed on having bionic eyes implanted. Now she can shoot giving back to her target, but maybe that's just for show.
Because yes, she's awesome and cocky.
Pawn #3 Breixos "Crab" Canga: http://imgur.com/kxQguxO
Character Menu: http://imgur.com/KBS5Z8V
Gear Menu: http://imgur.com/37ruUhl
Health Overview: http://imgur.com/oQJFXAT
Additional details: Why do you need turrets when you have a tall hulk with a minigun who shoots even to the fleeing enemies? Well, in RimWorld probably you'll need both, but he looks threatening anyways.
Raised in a tribe without women, he really doesn't get along with them very good althougt women are always trying to get him in their beds. I mean, he once knocked out a bear with his minigun, how manly and cool is that?
And he's loyal, he would never turn his back on the people who spared his life.
(Artistic note, I imagine him very tall and full of tattoos but I never wanted to mod the game.)
PS: Your work is awesome! Keep on it!

March 13, 2017, 12:52:49 PMQuote from: mumblemumble on March 12, 2017, 02:42:16 PMIt's all about how you manage the public image of your game. Maybe its silly, but you can make a character with prejudice towards other one's origin without calling it "xenophobia" and no one will notice it.Quote from: grrizo on March 12, 2017, 02:37:35 PM
racism can get a lot of angry
But prejudice can work on the game
Whats the difference between prejudice based on race, and very minor racism?
also, prejudice is a non issue, if followed by rejudice

Yeah, probably messing with racism can get a lot of angry people for no rational reason. Something that Tynan may want to avoid. But prejudice can work on the game, based on other factions, outsider pawns, new recruits or new joined pawns, lower/higher technological civs, etc.
After all, the game already have a primitive "prejudice system" based on traits.

Ideas / Re: Being able to name Animals manually
March 12, 2017, 02:10:52 PMQuote from: Ra_silk on March 11, 2017, 09:31:58 AMDoug is a cool name for a killer panther. Same with a little kitty called "Maniac".Quote from: BlackSmokeDMax on March 10, 2017, 11:49:56 PMthat would be nice, but I wouldn't use it very often. some of the names can be very endearing. I once had a rhino attack my tribe and we incapitated it. when healing it my doctor formed a bond with is and named him Mudpot. I actually cried when he died of his infection 2 minutes later. but sometimes it is annoying when you have a panther that has more kills then everyone combined, called Doug. (I refer to his true name killer killer the murder of death)
Even if we can't rename all pets, at least renaming the named ones would be nice.
The things starts to get confusing when someone names a pet as "Animal". Seriously? Nothing better to came up with? That heatstroke may be worse than I imagined, after all.

This one is pretty obvious, but if you're obsessed with mortars like me, the most efficent way to install them is in a "cross shape" way around a 5x5 room in the center, which serves as a shell depo. 4 autodoors for fast deployment.
Actually it's much more simple to just plow down a "+" with walls, then place an equipment rack on each "end" of the walls.
You have up to 200 mortar shells per deployment this way, which is enough and the walking distances are zero if you put the "seat" adjacent to the racks
