Searching for diseases overhaul mods

Another day in the same time 8 out of 10 of my colonists became sick with muscle parasitises (or whatever it's called). It wasn't the best time.. i got dazed and left my colony.

I dislike full randomness of disease mechanics and the need to micromanage medicine.
I tried to search for mods that overhaul diseases, but couldn't really find anything. I guess I could plain turn them off. But still, is there any mods making diseases interesting and more realistic?

You should try Medical Complication

It merges most medicine related mods into a single pack with a lot of new features and tweaks. Just read the mod's description, you should like it!

With a bit of researching you can remove parasites and many other illnesses, making a disease be removed with just one medicine instead of having to "heal" them every 12 hours for an unknown amount of time.

I think one of the mods he includes on the pack also change how diseases appear on the pawns... Not sure though...

UPD: there's nothing in mod description pointing out changes to how diseases are received unfortunately. To me pure randomness feels unfair. I will still pick up the mod, but I guess I have to disable diseases completely.

You don't really need to disable diseases, it makes the game too easy IMO... With this mod installed the diseases that I get more frequently are the flu, which is easily healed.

The mod description may not say everything, it says only the changes he made to the mods included in the pack. For more info on everything it will do you must check each mod of the pack individually, but as far as I know none of the descriptions says anything regarding disease spawn chance...
In my last save, which I played for several ingame years, there was only one occurrence of "Flu" and another one of "Sleeping Sickness". I'd say about one disease spread every 1-2 years to my experience, which is enough for me to gather at least 200 herbal medicine, which I use more than normal medicine and with reasonable success.

Apologies for the necro! This search result seemed to be the best place to put my query..

I'm hunting for the 'diseases overhauled' mod thread, as I have one pawn in a coma (for over a year) & would like to find out if 'experimental brain surgery' has a chance to will bring him out of it.. or even simply what the brain surgery has a chance of doing!

I've looked through the text but my code-fu isn't good enough to find out the answers, sorry :(
