Get rid of mental breakdowns as they are.

Currently, the mental breakdown feature forces you to care for your colonist. I do that very well, giving them something Malibu people would feel at home in. What it does though is it forces you to be clean, sane, nice and fancy. It doesn't allow you to become a group of merciless, bloodthirsty raiders. Something I was trying to do in my last playthrough.

So I propose that the current system be changed or removed. It'll allow for people to be sadistic raiders, but it also allows a nice colony to arise.

Or instead of doing that add a new AI story teller

PsychoForge

It would allow colonies to become Cannibals as it is now if you eat human flesh your colonists get a negative stat and over time it would probably lead to break downs no?

I think what the OP is requesting is for backstory to influence character development and response to environment (if youre a man with a military background born on a slum world, you are more inclined to ignore your mental break and thrive instead of go insane but if you are some glitter world merchant or escort you will be really depressed and unable to ignore your mental break) which I'm sure is coming in the future as traits haven't even been added yet.

So give it some time OP. I know its coming. Just like slave collars with exploding buttons an stuff, HE JUST ADDED INVENTORY SYSTEM OMAGAHAAHHHWGDHGFHJGFJWEFJHA
