be careful of the food policy, if you have it out of the food policy, they wont eat it

You can change it while they're travelling, though, so no reason to panic.

To prevent annoying food poisoning incidents I recommend feeding colonists pemmican on extended journeys and denying them "vegetables" they pick on the way.

Try pemmican. Sure it doesn't have much in it, but people cooking them make 16 of them for 5 meat & 5 veggies or fruits.

They are best suited for short journeys but for extended journeys you should keep cooking like 40 or 60 survival meals depending how long it will take to your destination.

Remember to make short stops at friendly faction bases nearby and buy pemmican or survival meals from them, if you have the silver & cash to do so!

Also put survival meals somewhere in a closed room or locked place that the colonists & your pets won't eat them otherwise they are depleting them unless you're playing in 1.0, thanks to the food policy....

One "happy family" in the rims...

Kirby didn't read the title, and completely ignored everything everyone ahead of him wrote.

At least that's better than adding chocolate, seeing the number go up, and thinking that'll take care of both entertainment and food, only to find out they would rather starve than actually eat it. ;)
