Jugust?  Septober?  Decembary?  Aprimay?

Is my version of Rimworld corrupted/insane or are these intentional?
If you give an annoying colonist a parka before banishing him to the ice sheet you'll only get a -3 penalty instead of -5.

And don't forget that the pirates chasing a refugee are often better recruits than the refugee is.

Shinzy

they're intentional
something to do with growing periods and the globe being round

There's a long discussion about this in the feedback thread which you can read if you want to understand all the reasons behind it. It starts from around the following post (although obviously not every in the thread is about this naming change, so some posts will be about other stuff. The discussion ends at the point Tynan asks for it to stop. So once you reach that post there's nothing much about this past that point).

There was also a thread on the suggestions board that discussed the idea of alternative names, as well as issues/concerns, both in great detail here:

Ultimately, I believe most agreed to leave it as is and see if the names grow on them.
The only difference between screwing around and science is writing it down.

Agreed, they are dumb.

Like.... beyond even something that would get a chuckle out of me.

Oh, I got a chuckle out of them, I just was concerned it was my computer doing something weird.

Speaking of chuckles, it took 27 hits from a short bow to bring down a caribou.  Well, it used to be a caribou, now it's the porcupine from hell.
