idk in which ver. were the solar batteries and the steam gen-s added, but does really no one noticed or bothered up to A17 with the fact that if SG's and SB's connected together to the same powergrid that it's fucked? because when the night falls the grid receives no power at all and the available drops below zero and the issue is solved only with de-attaching the SB's?

second - why the citizens are eating the damn berries and milk when there is a nutrient dispencer? also why there are no policies in restrict tab to allow or disallow eating behavior?

third - what's the purpose of the restrict tab if even with the no drugs policy and with the drugs pile set to FORBIDDEN my citizens ARE using those drugs?

forth - why i can't see the loadout of a transport pod??

Jesus, WHY are you complaining? You know there exists something like punctuation and capital letters? Maybe instead of crying about everything, post some good ideas how to improve game. Also there is a lot of mods which can help you with your problems. Use search button. Without greetings.

1)  I heard something a while ago about a bug where connecting mixed power grids in certain ways could cause massive power loss in situations that it shouldn't, but I can't remember when and am honestly too sleepy to look.  Sorry!  Of course it's also possible your power system just isn't hooked up correctly.  Can't really help you without looking at the save.

2)  Colonists will tend to eat the best food available, with 'best food' meaning 'food that gives the most happiness.'  Berries and milk give 0 happiness (which is to say they're neutral) while nutrient paste meals give -4 (colonists dislike them).  There's nothing in place to restrict this behavior because, generally, once you get your first crop you don't need it unless you're deliberately playing a super-extreme scenario.  Just Forbid food you don't want them eating and only unforbid it when you need to move it somewhere.

3)  Mental breaks don't care about restrictions.  This is also major downside of having colonists with Chemical Interest and Chemical Fascination as they will randomly go on drug binges regardless of mood.

4)  Presumably because you know what you put in it.  I wouldn't mind knowing what's loaded in them either though, since I'm terribly forgetful.

then we just start with yourself, why do you ask such stupid questions.

Nutri paste meals taste awful, i think even you would prefer well tasting berries and milk before you eat that. Didn't you notice this or do you was to stupid to compare the stats of nutri paste and berries ?

People at mental state arn't under your control anymore, and they ignore restrictions.
The only safe way is to put all these drugs behind some walls. Then you just need to deconst and rebuild the wall if you want access to that area.
Unfinished wall works too.

@DarthNihilus, perhaps you didn't realize it, but your opening post comes across as a lot of complaining and negativity. I assume you were trying to understand the game better and asking if there were underlying problems, but it wasn't well communicated. Our forum is friendly and helpful, and you can see how people are trying to be helpful even though your post didn't communicate what you wanted it to.

Let's all keep the conversation going in a good community spirit and keep enjoying RimWorld! :)

1. What are "SG"s and "SB"s?

2. Because berries and milk don't provide debuffs like nutrient paste. Because no one's really been asking for that option. Feel free to suggest it in the suggestions forum.

3. As far as I know they won't use drugs if they're restricted and the item is forbidden. Are you talking about drug binges? It's a different thing.

4. I dunno.

1. because clicking on any part of a power grid does not show it's OUTPUT....it shows the net power.  That means if you have 2x1600 MW solar gens and 2x1000 MW steam gens, and your powergrid consumption is 3000 MWs, due to coolers, stoves, workbenches, etc. - then your power will show as 2200 during the day (5200 available, minus 3000 used) and -1000 at night (2000 available, minus 3000 used).  Maybe ask how things work before losing your shit online.

2. Because milk and berries taste better than nutrient paste.  Pawns prefer NOT to eat food they hate.
They'll eat lavish over fine meals,
fine over normal,
normal over any raw food,
no-debuff raw food (berries, milk, corn) over nutrient paste,
nutrient paste over raw potatoes, rice, or meat,
Raw rice, potatoes, meat over raw human meat
raw human meat over corpses
There's your list of how pawns prioritize food (subject to ranges...in general, a pawn will look further for better food when they get hungry)

3. forbidden items are not touched by human pawns.  Unless they are binging (food or drug binge).  If you're trying to clear an addiction, consider arresting the pawn, or WALL OFF your drugs until it is clear.  If you have chemical fascination or interest pawns, you're just going to have to accept that they'll consume drugs.  Pets are a different matter, pets will occasionally wander outside their allowed zones to consume food and drugs...its rare, but it happens.  I suggest you keep your pets' allowed areas FAR from the drug storage.

4. This seems a worthwhile suggestion.  It won't likely happen SOON, but if you head over to the suggestions forum and respectfully and politely make the suggestion that transport pods should contain a readout of what they contain (or at least a button you can click to get a readout), there is every possibility it will be added into a future version of this alpha game.
