Weapons Erode

Idea to replace biocoded weapons and offer some balance against players that steal advanced weapons but don't do a lot of research.

Idea:
All weapons that require a tech level above medieval to produce will erode over time. The more advanced the weapon, the quicker it deteriorates. In exchange, drastically reduce the resource cost to make new weapons. This will encourage players to research weapons tech. Note: I'd exempt mortars from this since they rely on the player producing munitions for them.

Not sure if you play on steam or DRM-free.
But when you use steam, maybe you should just play for fun an older release, B18 at example and compare the weapons with the current.
